John’s journey into the world of photography began after his remarkable 24-year career as a musician in the Navy. Upon retiring, he embarked on a new adventure by enrolling at the esteemed Portfolio Center in Atlanta to study advertising photography. Immersed in this vibrant and creative environment, John honed his skills, pushing the boundaries of his creativity and mastering the tools of the trade. The studio’s collaborative atmosphere fostered the absorption of innovative ideas and techniques, further shaping John’s approach to capturing breathtaking images.  

Today, John’s expertise and artistic vision are evident in his ability to produce beautiful and professional imagery that resonates with the communities of architects, interior designers, developers, construction companies, and beyond. Throughout the majority of his life, music has held a special place in his heart. That passion continues to burn brightly to this day. However, over the past two decades, photography has emerged as an equally important pursuit. Balancing the two art forms, He finds myself engrossed in the captivating world of visuals, spending a significant portion of my days immersed in the digital realm.  

As he sits at my desk, just to the right of my computer– his alto flute perched on a stand. It has been his faithful companion for the past nine years, accompanying me on countless melodic journeys. The clarinet has been a part of his life for an impressive 65 years, while the saxophone has captured my heart for a remarkable 45 years – He holds a deep affection for each instrument.  

Nestled among the peaceful serenity of the woods near Jasper, GA, John, his wife Nancy, and their beloved dog Miss Emmie reside in a charming log home. They made the move from their previous residence near Marietta Square nine years ago, and have found solace and joy in the tranquility that surrounds them. As the melodies of life intertwine with the simplicity of nature, they revel in the profound stillness that fills their days.
